Not all sea kayaking trips have to be on the sea. Departures in the upcoming issue of Adventure Kayak outlines a kayak trip on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.




I recently read an article written by Bill Ostrom talking about travelling by sea kayak through Quetico Park in Northern Ontario.

Kayak trips on inland lakes is certainly not a new idea however are often overlooked and realistically there are quite a number of sea kayakers who are desperately land locked.

The trip Bill talks about in his article starts at French Lake and heads down the wide and grassy Pickerel River.

The trip found the group upon an area called The Pines and with it's long sandy beaches gives the look and feel of a coastal sea kayaking expedition.
