Updates from www.transatlantic2010.blogspot.com who has been receiving messages of Aleksander's journey along the way.

The most recent event of Alek's trip is crossing the equator with only 560 kilometres to go in roughly about 10 days, success is looking favourable.

In recent weeks he has encountered adverse weather conditions, sharks, fear of starvation as supplies run low and mechanical issues with his desalinator and  limited fresh water leaving him to rely on the collection of rain water.

The blog also talks about two previous failed attempts at the transatlantic crossing one of which didn't even make it to the launch phase due to the expedition paddler coming down with a serious case of malaria. More info about that expedition is available at www.kalinosia.ceron.pl.

Stay tuned for further announcements about the expedition.
