The pair had decided to stop after Barry was experiencing tremendous pain from a serious case of tendonitis in his wrist which was said to be caused by an excessively tight wrist gasket on his drysuit.

Barry and I driving north today back to the border between Chile and Argentina where we stopped kayaking. We will have our kit inspected today and will start kayaking when the weather allows. That might be Wednesday as it is due to be windy until then, but you never know round here!

Barry had a test paddle yesterday for about an hour and felt good to be back in the boat, so we are optimistic about the trip.

Their position on the map is being updated every hour or so as they paddle so it´s possible to follow their progress.
