On April 22nd 2011, Jeff Allen, Chris Millington and Harry Whelan, will set off to circumnavigate Ireland by sea kayak. One of their goals is to beat the present record time of 33 days, set by Mick O’Meara and his team in 1990. Their other goal is quite honourable.

All three members are seasoned expedition paddlers with more than 15,000 combined sea miles below their keels, which has taken them paddling through some rousing waters, including Japan, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. Harry also took his first lap round his homeland in 2000, which he accomplished in a folding kayak.
