Joe Forrester, 25, of Colorado, paddled down 3,461 miles down the world's fourth-largest river system from the headwaters of the Missouri river in Montana to its confluence with the Mississippi River in St. Louis, and on to the Gulf of Mexico.
The expedition was called Paddling for Parkinson's, a fundraising effort for the National Parkinson Foundation in honor of Joe's grandfather, and has raised over $20,600 to date.
"It took me 94 days to paddle from Three Forks, MT to the Gulf of Mexico," Joe said. He was sponsored by Current Designs and paddled a Current Designs Storm kayak, a popular polyethylene touring kayak modelled off Current Designs' Solstice series.
