Dunnville, Ontario on October 10, 2010 paddle the Grand River in an effort to increase awareness of climate change.

Climate change is a huge topic of discussion for many people these days. You would have to live in a bubble not to have heard news regarding climate change.
According to recent studies by Gallop.com across all 127 countries surveyed, the median percentage of people who report knowing about global warming is still a shocking 62%.
Paddlers will be kayaking from the Grand Island BBQ in Dunnville to the mouth of the Grand River at Port Maitland and back.
Depending on the weather and skill level of the group, the trip might find it's way out into Lake Erie this year and follow the shoreline to Rock Point Provincial Park.
Apparently the weather was bad last year and event organizers are hoping it will be more agreeable this year.
This is the second year for the event and organizers have hopes of this becoming an annual event.
Considerations are being made to make this one part of a Fall paddling festival, with demo's and exhibits and Rapid Media's REEL Paddling Film Festival.
We love blogging especially about sea kayaking.
