Sergio Greguoldo replied to the topic Re: Camp Stove in the forums.
I have a pretty standard Coleman "naphta" type stove. You know the classic green "briefcase" looking stove with red cylinder that has to be pumped. Used it as a car camping stove - doesn't fit my hatch (Cetus) and I really dislike strapping anything to the deck - so no kayak cmaping with it.
More recently (this June) bought a Coleman "fold n'go" stove. It is clam shaped that opens up and has two burners (individually controlled). Piezo electric ignition and uses the small portable (usually green colored) propane cannisters. Also comes with a nifty little carrying case - that can carry 2 propane tanks as well. Worked very well on a camping trip. I used it without a windscreen (doesn't have a built in one) and I'm sure that slowed down some of the cooking - still quite fast. This is likely what I would take for a kayak camping trip as it does fit quite nicely in the rear (oval) hatch of my Cetus. So when I do use it that way - I will write again and let you know how it went. Cheers

Hey,

Our new iPad and iPhone app for our magazines is now in iTunes. I'm super excited. We're the first paddling and/or fishing mag to have our own app. Here's a link to it in iTunes. We have a bunch of free editions up so you can try it out.

Happy tapping and sliding,

Scott

PS Oh, here's the link to it in iTunes,
