Kayak Academy will host the second annual Greenland at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, Washington.

The event takes place October 30^th to November 7^th. The week will consist of traditional Greenland-style lessons, demonstrations, competition and social activities.

Spectators are welcome at the competition, and the park admission is free and open to the public.

Competition begins Friday evening with Ropes Gymnastics, NW canoe ceremonies, Kayak Race and Harpoon Throwing Saturday, and Competition Rolling Sunday.

Organizers say they are honored to have Maligiaq Padilla, Dubside, Helen Wilson, George Gronseth and other expert instructors share their knowledge and skills.

On Saturday evening there is a slide show open to the public featuring “31 Days of Rice, Butter and Lingcod”, a solo journey across the North and West Coasts of Vancouver Island in a skin-on-frame kayak, presented by Kiliii Yu
