NaSKS 2010

NaSKS-vendor-alley-410pxThis past weekend the Madawaska River was converted from the white water destination it’s known as into a sea of… well… sea kayaks at the second annual National Sea Kayak Symposium hosted by Adventure Kayak and Rapid Media.

The event was held Friday May 14th to Sunday May 16th in the town of Palmer Rapids, Ontario.

As the staff of Rapid Media anxiously prepared for the event they were continually checking out the weather and keeping their fingers crossed that the reports were true.

The weekend turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and the sun gleaming off the water was reflected in everyone’s spirits.

Guests reported all weekend long about how great the on-water clinics were, how delicious the food was, how wonderful the RPFF clips were and of course all of the dancing was a pretty good indicator of how awesome the band was.

A special thanks goes out to all the Rapid Media staff for working so hard to bring this event together, the Paddler Co-op for providing such a great venue, the vendors for bringing all those boats and gear for prospective buyers to test drive and the band for amping up and rocking out the party tent.

Most of all thanks goes out to all the participants for making NaSKS a fun and amazing weekend.

Many of you asked how you can connect with the new friends, paddlers, vendors and instructors you met this weekend. And how can you share the memories created, skills learned and good times shared.

We've created three places for you to do just that:

You can also check out the event wrap-up page for a list of vendors that attended the event.
Stay tuned for more about the weekend, submitted photos and the release of the upcoming all NaSKS episode of Rapid Media TV.
