This is definitely not a new idea but worth mention as I still see countless people struggling with their boats and all their gear.
I'm sure many paddlers have seen this and I don't know maybe it's just me being lazy.
I just can't bring myself to make multiple trips back and forth to the car to get all my gear from the car to the beach.
So what the heck why not use a boat cart?
Here's five simple steps to make kayaking life easier.
1. Take the cart out of your and assemble.
2. Remove the boat from your vehicle roof, place on cart and strap down.
3. Remove gear bags, paddles and other gear from vehicle and place in respective hatches. Perhaps loose items such as PFD and ditch kit in cockpit.
4. Wheel cart down to the beach and slide boat off the cart possibly even partially in the water ready to launch (but not too far in because you don't want your boat to float away).
5. Run cart back to the vehicle, double check you haven't forgotten anything, lock it up and your ready to go. Done
Again maybe it's just me being lazy but now I get to save all that energy I would have spent running back and forth for paddling.
You could probably make your own cart but for folks like myself who have the ingenuity but not the time here's a great site www.wheeleez.com with a pretty good selection of quality carts.
So is it just me being lazy or what is the consensus on carts?
