Alright Folks,

Against my better judgement and probably at the expense of my job for the video I made with Scott in it (which I encourage you to watch) this is the Gnarly Nub Picture contest. Here's how it works:

Upload a picture of your dry, nubbed, gnarled, pruned, cracked, gross feet (if its from paddling that is) and you can win Free subscriptions, hats, t-shirts, stickers and whatever else I can find lying around the office that might make a good prize. Contest will run until October 31 2011 (to give you time to work on the nubs) and only pics added in this forum or in the comment section of the blog post count. We might use the pics other places though (like on Facebook and have folks judge). As you can tell it's not a super serious contest (just trying to give you guys some free stuff but have fun doing it!) so don't get to worked up if you don't win.

Well to get your contest going....here's a shot of only 1 foot after breaking my toe kayaking. Wasn't my brightest hour, but still had fun doing it...

My wife and I took a somewhat glamourous kayak in camp site at Lac possion Blanc in Quebec last year for our anniversary. The site was pretty gucci compared to what we were use to. I dont wear shoes in the bush and usually go barefoot year round. I was tending to the fire and decided to flick the BBQ grill which was reds hot off the fire. A total brain fart I thuen proceeded to walk on it as I fixed up the fire.


BBQ foot anyone?

Man that looks painful..... Did it smell like chicken?

haha not quite however the wolves were howling around camp. I'm only guessing BBQ feet were the reason as my porkchops sucked.

This is my boyfriend's foot as we take a break. We are on the river that we usually go up. It dumps into Mansfield Hollow in CT. This is after Hurrican Irene, we are stopped at our usual resting spot which is a fallen tree. It is usually a big tree but this time it was just a stick it was so flooded!
